Kissing Fish Bridal Shower: Couples Collage

January 19, 2012 By Holly Leave a Comment Filed Under: Bridal Showers, Kissing Fish Bridal Shower

I wanted to do something special for over the dessert table. After a little research, I found this posterized collage technique on Happy Together. I used a picture from the couple’s engagement session and used an art canvas instead of a wood plaque. It turned out great and was a wonderful addition to the wall.

Kissing Fish Bridal Shower Centerpieces

January 18, 2012 By Holly Leave a Comment Filed Under: Bridal Showers, Kissing Fish Bridal Shower, Party Decorations

Inspired by these great centerpieces on One Charming Party, we made ‘fish bowls’ for each table using blue paper and tiny fish cut-outs in glass vases. Tissue paper flowers were put inside, and the pictures from the couples engagement session were displayed on tables around the room.

Kissing Fish Bridal Shower Decorations

January 17, 2012 By Holly Leave a Comment Filed Under: Bridal Showers, Kissing Fish Bridal Shower, Party Decorations

This party was a lot of fun to decorate for. The groom’s favorite color is orange (go Texas!) and so we used orange and blue as the main colors. The shower was at a beautiful restaurant, so the only thing we did was the dessert table and the guest’s tables. We collected glass vases and jars […]

Looking for something to serve at your New Year’s Eve party? How about some sparkling cider in plastic champagne glasses for the kiddos. Don’t forget some edible gold glitter.

Holiday Gift Tags: Embroidered Tags

Today’s gift tag idea comes from miniature rhino.  We love the simple and stunning look of these gift tags.  The tutorial, which can be found here, is easy to understand and hopefully will inspire you to make some gift tags that will wow your friends and family. Thank you Jessica from Miniature Rhino for sharing […]

Holiday Gift Tags: Ornament Tag

December 13, 2011 By Holly Leave a Comment Filed Under: Gift Giving, Gift Wrap

Today we’ve got another gift tag project to share.  A glass ornament filled with paper shows who this gift is for. This project was simple to make.  First we printed up an 8.5″ x 11″ paper with two messages: Merry Christmas, Kelly! and Kelly (if you haven’t guessed this gift is for Kelly!). We printed all […]

Mustache Bash Food

December 7, 2011 By Holly Leave a Comment Filed Under: Mustache Bash

We served caramel apples (with mustaches), chocolate stache lollipops made from a candy mold, and a chocolate fountain. Fixings included marshmallows, pretzels, bananas, and vanilla wafers. We also had water and wet your whiskers punch.

Welcome to northern Minnesota, circa 1995. My Grandpa built me a dollhouse for my 5th birthday, and 30 years later, I gave it back to him. For the first six months of the pandemic I transformed the tiny house into a replica of my grandparent’s house circa 1995, re-creating some of my favorite memories of holidays and summers gathered together as a family at their Minnesota lake home. The remodel started when my family got stuck at my parents during the stay-at-home orders, and when it looked like we would be there a while, I dusted off the old dollhouse to create something new. The original plan was to make it look more modern. Then, I got the idea to make it a miniature version of my favorite place on earth. Although it only stands 3 feet tall, it is full of tiny details and some of my favorite childhood memories. #11cupcakes #artistherapy #dollhouseminiatures #dollhouseminiature #dollhousetherapy #dollhousetour #miniatures #covidprojects #covidproject @mforminiatures

She insisted on dressing up like Reba McEntire, and thanks to her new love of country music I now know all the words to ‘Consider Me Gone’. Happy Halloween from the Queen of Country Music and her dinosaur sidekick. 🎃🎤🦖
