Today’s DIY idea turns a cardboard bottle caddy into a party perfect silverware caddy.

An old Izzy bottle caddy re-purposed with paint, paper, and ribbon  was all we needed for this project.

First we painted it using acrylic black paint.  After that dried we wrapped the bottom with a 4″  belt of paper made  from old book pages.  We finished it with orange ribbon.  We decorated this one to match our upcoming spooky story party.   It would be easy to make your silverware caddy customized for your party’s theme and decor.

Small plastic cups helped keep our silverware standing upright.  We had four places for forks, knives, spoons, and straws.  We hope you enjoyed today’s DIY idea.

I think the reuse of soda caddy was terrific. Love the artful way the ribbon completed the look.

I am making a number of these caddies but I am wondering what you used to attach the paper and ribbon? Spray glue or what? Also, what size plastic cups did you use to put in the slots to hold the plastic silver ware? I can’t seem to go bd anything tall and narrow that will fit in them. Thanks for your help!!

She insisted on dressing up like Reba McEntire, and thanks to her new love of country music I now know all the words to ‘Consider Me Gone’. Happy Halloween from the Queen of Country Music and her dinosaur sidekick. 🎃🎤🦖
