When I first started planning my husband’s 35th birthday party, I told him I needed a theme. He gave me exactly zero ideas and I think he was afraid I was going to throw him a colorful kids party with balloons and streamers. It wasn’t until I gave him a list of ideas, including Bluegrass […]

One of my favorite things about throwing parties is making them personal. Finding a theme or idea that suits the person is always more fun than a generic party. The theme of the Sobriety Party I threw for a friend was Pepsi because she absolutely loves Pepsi. This Teal & Sparkle Bridal Shower was perfect […]
We served caramel apples (with mustaches), chocolate stache lollipops made from a candy mold, and a chocolate fountain. Fixings included marshmallows, pretzels, bananas, and vanilla wafers. We also had water and wet your whiskers punch.
This party was held at an old theatre, which ended up being a great venue. It already had a lot of great elements and architecture, so there wasn’t a lot we needed to add. A ‘guess the stach’ banner hung on one wall, with the types of mustaches under the cards. Another ‘mustache bash’ banner hung […]
Guests were encouraged to wear plaid to the party, and a make-shift photo booth added lots of fun and creativity. Lumberjack hats, beards, and axes were provided, along with a large frame.
A lumberjack party isn’t complete without lots of desserts! This party had s’more cupcakes, pumpkin cupcakes, cake, and whole wheat brownies. Yum! We covered cake stands with brown wrapping paper to make them look like tree stumps, and plaid fabric was used for a tablecloth. A handful of pine-cones were added to complete the outdoorsy […]
This plaid lumberjack cake was made with fondant and food coloring. A tiny lumberjack made from wood and scrap fabric along with two wooden trees sat atop the cake. I covered an ordinary cake stand in brown butcher paper to make it look like a tree stump. Happy Planning,
The lumberjack invites were made with paper and fabric, and then scanned into a computer to be printed off on white card stock. A brown envelope and a lumberjack stamp made them complete. Check out the rest of this Lumberjack Party! Happy Planning,
A ‘Pepsi Bar’ was made by stacking multiple cans of different kinds of Pepsi to create a tower. Guest enjoyed trying different kinds and making Pepsi floats with ice cream.
Food for this party was appetizers and desserts. These cute pepsi cans sat atop brownie cupcakes, and labels saying “6” and “congrats” were adorned to the chocolate and angel food cupcakes.
Pepsi colors are blue, white, and red, but to avoid making it look like a 4th of July party or a political rally, we focused on blue with little touches of red and white. The pepsi flag was found on ebay, and the tablecloth is from Target. This adorable […]
In honor of a 6th anniversary of sobriety, we planned this party around the guest of honor’s favorite drink; Pepsi! Stay tuned for all the details! The invitations we used for this party were super simple. We wanted something clean, fresh, and with a touch of vintage pepsi. The Pepsi font is available for free here.
